Workshop on the LOGYCO project – Financing of citizens’ energy communities

On March 22, 2024, the second workshop on the LOGYCO project was held in the premises of the People’s Open University in Ivanić-Grad on the topic of financing citizens’ energy communities.
At the workshop, financing models for energy communities were presented, and a discussion was held on which models are good for already existing energy communities, and which ones are good for the establishment of energy communities. The workshop was attended by citizens, entrepreneurs, representatives of associations and local authorities, who led a discussion on the current state of financing and the profitability of the work of citizens’ energy communities, but also shared their experiences and opinions on the possibilities of establishing and operating future energy communities of citizens in Croatia.

As a reminder, as part of the LOGYCO project, a guide for the establishment of citizens’ energy communities (EZG) was developed and published.
The guide lists the necessary documentation and main steps for establishing an EZG in the Republic of Croatia. The administrative process of application and establishment of EZG and the process of installing a solar power plant for EZG are described.
