Energy experts and professionals from around the world gathered in Athens for the Community Energy Spring Gathering 2023. The conference brought together leaders in the energy industry to discuss the latest trends, technologies and policy developments in the sector.
The event, which took place from 10 to 12 May 2023, attracted more than 100 stakeholders, including decision makers, academics, the business community and NGOs. Participants participated in discussions, presentations and workshops covering a wide range of topics related to energy communities.
The three-day gathering began with an introductory address by a representative of the European Commission on EU policies related to energy communities. The conference also included panels on energy democracy and citizen energy, legislation transposition, financial models and energy poverty.
The spring gathering of the energy community served as a valuable forum for energy professionals to exchange ideas, share knowledge and collaborate on solutions to challenges facing the industry.
Since DOOR implements the LOGYCO project related to energy communities, DOOR’s Nena Šilić attended the conference. LOGYCO is a project that is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate (BMWK).
