First Info-day in Serbia

In the Innovation Startup Center of Stara Pazova (ICSP), an “Info Day” was held, as the first of a series of events foreseen by the new project “Setting the basis for the establishment of local energy communities (LOGYCO)”.
This project is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI). EUKI is an instrument for financing projects of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMVK). The EUKI call for project ideas is conducted by Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Director of RRA Srem, Milan Mirić, first of all introduced the participants to the project itself, the topic it deals with, partners, donors, as well as the program of the European Climate Fund.
The topic of Citizens’ Energy Communities (CECs), which is the essence of the project itself, was specially addressed.
The ENEPLUS association had the opportunity to introduce the participants to the topic of “energy efficiency and renewable energy sources – application in residential buildings”, which is completely in line with the project.

The event was attended by a total of 49 participants, as representatives from the national, regional and local levels of government, as well as high school students, representatives of relevant institutions and interested citizens.
In addition to the Info Day, thematic workshops will soon be organized as part of the project.
